Mt. Carmel is a place where traditional faith intersects progressive values.
We are a Christ-centered faith community whose reason for being is to share God’s love through worship, service and community. We strive to be a loving, accepting, and healing force in our church, our city, and the world.
A Reconciling in Christ congregation, Mt. Carmel welcomes all people regardless of race, ethnicity or sexual orientation or gender identity.
Greetings from Pastor Matta Ghaly
I greet and welcome you in the name of our loving and liberating God, who saved us and called us with a holy calling to be the body of Christ.
Here at Mt. Carmel Lutheran Church, we are empowered by the bold proclamation of the Word and nurtured on the holy sacraments to worship God, serve our neighbors and witness to the healing power of the gospel. As a diverse and intergenerational community, we practice radical hospitality and welcome all people to be part of our tapestry as we listen to how the Spirit is guiding us to be church in a rapidly changing culture.
I am grateful you took some time to check out our website and hope you will email or call me to connect, get a cup of coffee or share a meal. I pray you will also allow us the blessing of warmly welcoming you in worship and fellowship. We are here and we are a door that is never locked, so no matter who you are, or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.
